So like, someday... I'll actually update this.
Just got home from Colossalcon and had an amazing time! For the previous 3 years, I had been running the Cosplay dept, but I took a break this year and did an artist alley table instead. Although I didn't manage to finish ANY of my prints that I had been working on, I did have oodles of pony stuff and super-cute jewelry and accessories! I had a really fun time doing my first full-blown Artist Alley table. The previous times I've done artist alley, I pretty much just slapped down a portfolio and took commissions and sold a couple of prints. Nothing to extravagant. But this time, I put some time into displays and made lots of cutesy stuff! It's really weird because my drawing style isn't really cute, and I have trouble attempting to draw cute things. But I looooove cute stuff!
Met loads of amazing people. My table neighbor,
was awesome! There was also an amazing brony who kept coming back to buy more and more pony stuff. By the end of the weekend, he was covered in pony.
It's been awhile since I've made any new friends at Colossal, as I usually just work myself crazy. So it was fun to be laid back, talk to friends and strangers and not really stress.
At any rate, the convention went by SO FREAKING FAST. OMFG! All the months of preparing, procrastinating, preparing, and procrastinating even more and four days is over in the blink of an eye. Where's my life rewind button when I need it? Can it be Thursday again, please? :3
Now that the convention is over, I'm going to try to get my shop set up so I can start selling my stuff on the side to help fund hobbies (like my new interest in Lolita).
I've also been working hard lately at getting my Avatar site
avariciarpg.com rolling again. It's been a long time since I've been able to do much with it, and I'd really like to get the community going again.
